Our Property
Casa Rondini was built about 1900 and was a typical farmhouse with accommodation on the first floor, the animals were on the ground floor and the attic was used to store their grain, meats and cheeses.
It now has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor, a fourth bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor. The owners private suite is in the attic rooms. All the bedrooms now have air conditioning.
We bought the house in 2003 and restored it over the next 10 years. It still retains many of the original rustic features like stone floors and timber beams.
The garden is about 3000 sq metres (approx 3/4 acre). It is entirely fenced with gates, so it is suitable for pets. There is also an old well and wood fired bread oven.
Two families of swallows were living in the house when we bought it. They still come back each summer and drink out of the swimming pool. Casa Rondini is Italian for 'The Swallows House'.
This is the view from the front of the house. Its different crops each year, but every few years it is sunflowers.
